This is Chris Macaluso's (Crappy Mac's) portfolio. It was posted and designed by Anthony Hsu (Erwaman).
I think the curriculum was really good. There was a lot of variety. There were a ton of compositions throughout the year in all four marking periods. Thirteen poems in all of the forth marking periods. Speeches throughout the third marking period. Finally we did debates in the second marking period.
All the things we did helped a lot for all of the classes. Anyone could use all of the things we used for anything in the future. They were all very useful. I wasn’t a very good writer in the beginning of the year and I slowly improved throughout the year and I am a lot better now. I also don’t like to write but with Mr. Greene we had interesting topics and that made it a lot better for my experience in this class.
One of the best things I liked is the calendar schedule. So I could do all of my homework early and get a lot of extra credit. It’s really cool. If I didn’t get how to do some of the homework the calendar schedule explained how to do it. It made it really easy for me.
One of my favorite parts though is the extra credit. I think that should always be used. Handing things early and getting a ton of extra credit really helped me a lot and especially the amount from the portfolio. It really helped a lot of people this year and it also gave people 150s all together like Anthony (Dirtbag).
One suggestion or change I would make is the revisions. I think most of them were really hard and they were all a pain. A lot of times they really ruined the composition. Another suggestion that I have is the writing requirements. I think a lot of the time they can also ruin the compositions. I think there should be writing requirements but ones that help your writing not ruin it.
Another suggestion I have is I think there were way to many compositions and a couple should have been erased and another topic like poems, debates, and speeches should have been chosen again so there will be 4 main topics plus a couple less compositions.
