"Well here it is. You must tie two crosses together with a red string and paint them red. Then you must soak them in water for an hour and then heat them in a fire for an hour. Next, you must take fruits of four different colors and pierce the crosses through the fruits. After that, you must untie the red string holding the two crosses together, and pierce both your legs all the way through with the crosses - one cross for each leg. Then tie the red string from the top of one cross to the top of the other cross. Finally, you must meet the monster and allow the monster to engulf you. Your soul and body will be sacrificed and you shall perish painfully, but the two crosses tied together with the red string will release all the sins and evilness in the shadow monster and transmit them back to their producers. So there you have it. That's what we have to do. But the only problem is, who would be willing to sacrifice themselves?"
"I will. I am prepared to do this. Let's get started. I'm prepared to sacrifice my soul and body for the good of Ragdon."
"Are you sure Yothann? You will go through enormous pain as your body and soul are being used to release the sins and evilness from the shadow monster."
"YES. I am positive. Now Axel, don't question me any more. We don't have much time. Let's get to work."
Hustling and bustling, Yothann and Axel were able to finish all the steps except for the puncturing of both of Yothann's legs by 11:30 PM. They drove up to the Death Star, and that's when Axel said goodbye to Yothann and drove away. It was 11:55. Yothann was ready. He went up to the front door of the Death Star, and pierced both his legs. He let out a yelp as pain engulfed him. The shadow monster was awoken by this and started creeping out from his hiding place. By 11:58 Yothann had finished tying the red string tightly between the two crosses and had managed to adjust a little bit to the pain. Oozing out, blood flowed down his legs, and he shuddered from the sight of it. Knowing that he wasn't going to last very long and unable to tolerate the foul odor of the blood any more, he forced his body to move. At 11:59, Yothann had managed to stagger into the Death Star and collapse onto the entrance floor. He knew that all he had to do now was wait.
Yothann made some final prayers and thought back of his family and friends, and how they had always been there, assisting him through his journey through life. He thought of all the things they had done for him, almost always giving him what he wanted, and now, for the first time, Yothann was giving something back to them, and that thought released a smile across his face. And that was the thought Yothann held as the shadow monster engulfed him, devouring his body and soul, savoring the soul that was actually killing the shadow monster more and more, as he hungered for more. Yothann was experiencing so much happiness from the thought that he hardly felt any pain at all. These were his last thoughts before he was completely gone, removed from the face of the earth, vanished, dead. But the shadow monster was dead as well. The sins and evilness were released and spread throughout Ragdon, and finally, there was balance in the air, a balance between good and evil. The shadow monster has been slain, balance has been restored, and Yothann can finally rest in peace.
From that day on, for one hundred years, Ragdon remained a peaceful town that prospered into a small city. Dr. Axel Angich had long passed away and met up with Yothann Hus in heaven. There was balance between good and evil, and the Death Star had been restored. The current owners of the Death Star were Mrs. and Mr. Loudonville, with whom their daughter Margaret lived. They left the mansion open for visitation, and let visitors and guests freely explore the house, the house where the shadow monster had once lived. That was when one day, the entire Loudonville family was found lying dead on their living room floor, with their television still on. They were all in a healthy condition besides the fact that they were all dead, with not a trace of how they died. But the most disturbing thing was a message engraved on the wall, which read:
"The Shadow Monster has returned. Alas, you thought Yothann had destroyed me when he sacrificed his body one hundred years ago. But wrong you were, for though I was reduced to barely more than a speck, I have been regaining strength steadily over the past one hundred years. I have gathered enough power and have conducted the ceremony, where my powers have been released to their full extent. The ceremony Yothann was able to delay me from carrying through a hundred years ago has finally been completed. I have taken on the form of a human being and my powers have excelled to a point beyond anyone's control. There is no hope for you now, for these are the first murders in the eternity of endless murders that is to come."
