In 2020 I made the world championship swimming team. My smile bigger got than an elephant. My parents were as loud as an elephant when they heard that I made the team. My parents and I were very excited and took me out to dinner. People where asking me are you ready are you ready. I got really excited. It’s double elimination or double round robin. There’s ten teams Brazil, Europe, China, India, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Japan. We played Japan in our first round. We had to swim the half mile. Each swimmer gets to go four times. Whichever team with the best combined time wins. Five people for each team go at once. I got first place but the other team got four guys following after me. In the second race the complete opposite happened and the score got tied with two races left. The same thing happened in the third race and we knew we had to step up . I knew I had to step up so we wouldn’t be cut by the team or be one step away from being eliminated. Right off the bat I had lead with all of my teammates right behind me. They all very quickly caught up to me but I tried to catch up as fast as I could and did and then the rest of my team caught up and we just barely won our first match but we did. Brazil, Europe, China, and India all won Japan, France, Spain, and Portugal all lost. Next we had Portugal we absolutely killed them and won every race while we shut them out because not one of their players beat one of ours for there first two matches which eliminates and broke a record. Now only six teams left because they need to make it even so the team with the best combined time moves on.

     Next to make the round of four because the thing happens is we play China. We knew this would be a tough match. But we beat them bad because there best swimmer so we moved on with Brazil, Europe, and India.

     We played India. We tied and went into overtime even though we one the first two games. In overtime only one race is held Each teams best swimmer went and best swimmer just happened to be me. I had a lot of pressure. I got a horrible jump though and had to catch up and went as fast as I could go and I beat him by a split second or a fingernail. Then we played Europe in the finals after they beat Brazil and the same thing happened accept we won the last to races.
